The Remote Desk is live — six things for the six worst hours of your working day

We built The Remote Desk because most home office shopping happens the same way: you search for "desk accessories," get a wall of near-identical listings with stock photos and no real information, and pick something on a guess. We wanted to try something more specific — start from an actual working day and sell the things that fix the parts of it that quietly go wrong.

That's the whole idea behind the site. Not a general catalogue, six things, each tied to a specific hour: the coffee that goes cold by 9:40, the screen that's a bit too low by mid-morning, the cables you knock loose after lunch, the ache between your shoulder blades by mid-afternoon, the glare on your screen once the light changes in the evening.

The honest bits

We'd rather tell you the unglamorous details up front than have you find them out after ordering. Delivery typically takes 1–2 weeks, since we ship from our supplier rather than holding UK stock — that's the trade-off that keeps prices where they are. Everything we sell is priced under the UK's £135 threshold, so there's no import duty to pay on delivery. Buy two or more items and delivery is free.

We're a new, small store. We don't have a backlog of reviews yet, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What we can offer instead is straight answers on every product page — real sizing, real shipping times, and a returns policy that says plainly what we will and won't cover.
